Opening for the heavyweight we have eclectic soundscapes by Tarqeeb delving into deep, groovy bass-lines, dark atmospherics & a trajectory that ultimately crescendos into a Drum & Bass-y frenzy!
About the Artist:
Hailing from Bristol (U.K) and having grown up immersed in the city’s renowned culture of sound systems, punk rock and hip hop; Kahn is at the forefront of the new wave of Bristol producers and DJs & has established himself as one of the most diverse producers of his generation.
His production style tends to draw influence from dub reggae, early 2000′s grime, digital dancehall, UK steppers incorporating his own vocals and instrumentation into his sound. As a DJ, Kahn keeps true to the traditions of sound system culture, it’s always a dubplate and vinyl operation.
Tarqeeb (Translation: Plan) is Ashish Jose. A seeker of hedonism through rhythm, philanthropy through music-making! His soundscapes consists of deep, groovy bass-lines, dark atmospheres and a trajectory that ultimately crescendos into high energy dance music. Coming from a Metal (bassist) and Psychedelic trance background, his sets innately include a generous dose of live sampling, layering and an overall vibe that could be defined as ‘eclectic.’
He has played at all our major festivals from NH7 Weekender Pune to Bass Camp Festival Delhi and Indian Surf Festival Orissa alongside massive international as well as homegrown acts.
