About the artists
G.A.D is the alter ego of Mumbai based DJ/ Entrepreneur, Nishant Gadhok. His obsession with music started early in life, going back to his early childhood days in Meerut but it finally materialized when he came to Mumbai in 28. The electronic music scene had picked up quite well in those days and the bay was booming with a lot of bass and house music. This is when he tried his hand at the decks and immediately got hooked.
His style of music cannot be captured in a few words. It is a mix of genres driven by energy and based on the ideas that he captures from the listeners. With time he’s moved on and now his sets are composed of a mix of genres such as deep, progressive, ghetto and tech house, techno and dub. The focus is on the energy of the listener and to connect with them on the right musical wavelength.
His set can be defined as a custom made experience based on the vibe of the crowd and place. The sets are characterized by a constant progression of energy and are guaranteed to pump fuel in any dance floor.
Too Sorted & R I S E
Too Sorted & R I S E is a duo formed back in July, 2015 by Ritwik Kalawant & Yash Babusheth. They were both playing a few gigs in the city before they formed the duo. They think of ‘Too Sorted & R I S E’ not only as a DJ/Producer duo but also as a band. Both of them are graduates of PointBlank Music school in London.
They have shared the stage with top-notch Indian acts like Nucleya, Lost Stories, Julia Bliss, Zephyrtone, etc. Having played for the VH1 Supersonic Pre-Party, opening for Nucleya 3 times in different cities, their set are high energy and also include scratch routine.
They have also played internationally, organising their own events at ‘The Book Club’ and ‘The Stags Head’. The are official remixers for Zephyrtone and Quistek have been supported by Nikhil Chinapa on his podcast TGTR. They have also made a number of bootlegs, remixes and sets that are available on Soundcloud.
Come home to the music!
