Big Gig: Dj Ruskin

DJ Ruskin has held residencies at some of Mumbai’s premier bars when they were at the peak of their fame – think J49, Henry Tham and, until recently, Dragonfly – on the city’s nightlife scene. He’s been DJing for over a decade-and-a-half, developing a distinctive flavour of sound that favours cutting-edge over commercialism, intelligence and originality over imitating popular trends. 

Ruskin takes his audience through a musical journey of the mind, body and soul. With juicy beats ranging from progressive house, minimal tech, techno, electro and ghetto/funky breaks to 60′s-70′s funk, soul and disco mashups, he creates an atmosphere infused with energy that is palpable, infectious and absolutely irresistible. 

He also wants audiences to participate in India’s march towards higher standards in collective music dance experiences by going out and listening to more quality acts. He’s actively involved in this communion of same-minded dance mania – join him for the ride.
